Axiom welcomes three new advocates

Axiom has welcomed three new members today.

Ross Mitchell specialises in a broad range of commercial disputes including contractual, construction and professional negligence disputes. He also practises in company law and public law. Prior to calling to the bar, he practised as a solicitor advocate with Brodies LLP in the commercial litigation team and is experienced in conducting proofs and debates, both as sole counsel, and alongside senior counsel. He has appeared in the Outer and Inner House of the Court of Session and Sheriff Appeal Court. As a solicitor, and latterly solicitor advocate, he also gained experience in professional negligence claims against a wide range of professionals; and gained broad experience in company law disputes. He has a keen interest in public law, having gained valuable experience during devilling.

Graham Horn calls to the bar as a Lord Hope Scholar after eight years as a solicitor in private practice latterly as a senior associate at MacRoberts LLP. He specialises in commercial litigation, including contract, insolvency, public law, construction, property, and professional negligence. In private practice, he was routinely involved in commercial litigation in the Sheriff Court and the Outer House of the Court of Session, as well as appeals to the Sheriff Appeal Court and Inner House of the Court of Session. During devilling, he has gained valuable experience in the fields of construction, contract, professional negligence, and property. He also has experience and a keen interest in public law matters.

Rachel Breen specialises in commercial and public law. She has particular experience in competition law disputes, including group proceedings and class actions. Prior to calling to the bar, she trained and practised as a solicitor at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. As a solicitor she advised on high-value, multi-jurisdictional disputes with a particular focus on follow-on damages actions before the Competition Appeal Tribunal. She also has experience in international arbitration, including complex contractual disputes, claims arising under international investment treaties, and sports law disputes. During devilling, she gained additional experience in media law and professional negligence.
