Balfour and Manson family law conference returns in person
The annual Balfour and Manson family law conference is under starter’s orders as the event returns to Perth Racecourse next week.
Almost 150 family lawyers will attend the fully booked event, widely regarded as one of the most important and influential conferences of its kind.
A wide range of family law experts will deliver updates in specific areas, including:
- Financial Case Law Round-Up – Ruth Innes KC
- International Issues in Family Litigation – Janys Scott KC
- Child Law Round-Up – Julian Aitken, advocate
- Tax considerations for Family Lawyers – Lucy Crow, Henderson Loggie
- Parental Alienation from a Legal Perspective – Emily Bradbury, advocate
- Parental Alienation from a Psychologist’s Perspective – Dr Anne Woodhouse
Shona Smith, partner and head of family law at Balfour and Manson, said: “We’re delighted to be back in person, in Perth, to update family law practitioners on this ever-changing field.
“Balfour and Manson has a long and proud history in family law, with the department growing rapidly following on from the creation of the specialised family law team in 1996.”
She added: “The conference attracts lawyers from all over Scotland. Although our offices are in Edinburgh and Aberdeen the reason we chose Perth as a venue is to make it as central as possible for our delegates.”
Any profit made at the event will be donated to Balfour and Manson’s charity of the year, Fresh Start, which helps homeless people get settled into a new home.
