Blackadders appoints new lead partners
Fraser Hardie (pictured right), has joined the firm to head up the firm’s Edinburgh office, working within the commercial property group.
With experience in property and construction legal work, Mr Hardie has served as a partner with four other major law firms.
Joanne Grimmond, partner in the residential property department in Dundee, will head up the Blackadders Perth office and Ryan McKay, partner and head of the dispute resolution team, will head up the office in Aberdeen.
Agricultural and renewables lawyer Gail Clarke (pictured right) has also joined the firm as a director in its rural land and business department.
Ms Clarke will also be based at the Blackadders’ Edinburgh office.
She deals with all aspects of rural property, and regularly advises landowners, farmers developers and commercial clients in respect of land and forestry acquisitions and sales, agricultural law, farms, sporting and fishing rights and minerals.
Ms Clarke is also a specialist in renewable energy matters, having been involved in over 100 wind farm, hydro, anaerobic digestion and other renewable projects for clients.
Johnston Clark, managing partner, said: “We are delighted that Fraser and Gail have agreed to join us. Blackadders are continuously working to expand and improve its service and our clients in Edinburgh will, I am confident, benefit from their specialist expertise in a range of services.
“I am equally delighted that Joanne and Ryan will be heading up our offices in Perth and Aberdeen and am confident they will prove to be extremely successful in their new roles.”
