Blackadders’ Taylor Henry wins STEP awards for top marks
A senior solicitor at Blackadders has been awarded two Worldwide Excellence Awards for having the highest mark in her accounts exam and the highest overall mark on the STEP Diploma.
Taylor Henry is one of only a handful of Scottish winners of the Excellence Awards from the global professional body this year.
This is the second year in a row that a solicitor from Blackadders has received the overall excellence award for the full two-year diploma following the success of Robyn Lee last year.
The STEP Excellence Awards celebrate exceptional achievement, recognising the highest achievers across all STEP qualifications globally.
STEP’s qualifications are widely recognised as the benchmark for the private client and wealth planning industry and are taken by accountants, lawyers, trustees, bankers and others to demonstrate their specialist knowledge and expertise.
Commenting on the awards, Ms Henry said: “I am delighted to win these awards. They are one of the highest achievements you can get in our sector of the legal industry and to get two is amazing.
“Now I just have to keep using the knowledge I have gained for the benefit of my clients and give them the kind of high-quality advice and service they expect Blackadders to deliver.”
Laura McDowall, head of private client at Blackadders, said: “This is an incredible achievement and we are all very proud of Taylor. These exams are designed to identify the future stars of our industry. The winners need to show a high level of technical knowledge and skill.
“Taylor deserves to have her dedication recognised with this outstanding award. I couldn’t be happier for her.”
Blackadders is a platinum partner of STEP.
