Blackadders unveils new branding
Blackadders LLP has unveiled a new brand as it continues its journey to transform the 250-year-old firm.
The black and yellow colours traditionally associated with the firm have been replaced by a fresh aqua and purple colour palette as well as a simpler typeface.
Emma Gray, joint managing partner, said: “We’re continuing to build on our reputation as a leading Scottish law firm. Our brand is an important part of that and so we are modernising our logo and making bold changes to the way Blackadders looks.
“Our clients and contacts will start to see our revamped logo on our new website, our social media channels, in our offices across Scotland and on our letters, emails and documents. It’s the same trusted team and high-quality service behind the new look.
“Our current brand identity has been around for some time and we think this shift feels fitting for the challenges of today and ready to respond to the challenges of tomorrow.”
The new brand was developed by the Scottish design agency LBD Studio.
Liam Bonar, creative director of LBD, said: “Blackadders is extremely proud of its heritage and strength in the market, but it is also resolutely future facing as a business.
“The philosophy behind this new brand is to help Blackadders to break down some of the complexities associated with law firms and to present itself, both visually and verbally, as a modern, national, transparent and human law firm.”
