Brodies and Marks & Clerk win big at IP awards

Brodies partners Robert Buchan and Gill Grassie and associate Shona Tennant from Brodies’ IP team received the accolade, which recognises excellence in innovation and specialist intellectual property work, at an awards evening at London’s Savoy Hotel last night.

Winners are selected by Managing IP’s team of editors and researchers, based on the publication’s world IP survey, recent market developments and client feedback.

Ms Grassie said: “We are delighted to be named the Scotland IP Firm of the Year for the fourth year in a row.

“This award is testament to the hard work and commitment of our IP team in providing businesses and entrepreneurs in Scotland and overseas with expert advice on protecting their intellectual assets, and also to the ongoing support of our clients. This has been a strong year for our IP team and we look forward to working on new challenges in support of all our clients’ interests over the coming 12 months.”

Marks & Clerk’s Richard Gibbs, (Glasgow Office managing partner), Andrew Docherty (Aberdeen Office managing partner), Campbell Newell (head of the Scottish trade mark practice) and Maureen Kinsler (international chairman), of Marks & Clerk were presented with the trophy.
