Brodies named UK national/regional law firm of the year
Brodies LLP was last night named “UK National/Regional Law Firm of the Year” at the Legal Business Awards in London.
Judges singled out Brodies for having “taken the Scottish market by storm” and praised the firm’s strong strategic management and sustained financial growth.
The awards were judged on the basis of research carried out by Legal Business, Legal 500 and independent legal experts into the quality of legal services, sustained growth and new business wins.
Commenting on Brodies’ performance, the judging panel said: “The last five years have seen Brodies take the Scottish market by storm, with revenue growing organically by 33 per cent as turnover passed £50 million, making it the largest independent Scottish firm by revenue. Over the past ten years, Brodies has increased its turnover by 214 per cent.”
Bill Drummond, managing partner of Brodies, was a finalist in the “UK Management Partner of the Year” category, having previously won that title at the 2013 Legal Business Awards.
Commenting on the firm’s award, Mr Drummond said: “We are pleased to be singled out by our peers in the legal profession for such a prestigious award, which reflects the hard work and commitment of everybody at Brodies and the continued support of our clients.”
