BTO announces appointment of commercial litigation partner Angus Wood
BTO Solicitors LLP has announced the appointment of Angus Wood to its commercial dispute resolution practice.
Mr Wood joins the partnership with 12 years of litigation experience, acting in a wide variety of disputes, including corporate, banking and energy.
He will be based in the firm’s Glasgow office, working closely with BTO’s head of commercial dispute resolution, Grant Hunter.
The appointment of Mr Wood, who is qualified in both Scotland and England and Wales, follows the recent addition to the team of consultant Stephen Humphreys and Edinburgh partner Will Cole.
David Gibson, BTO’s chairman, said: “Angus is a highly regarded practitioner in his field. He will be a great addition to an already very strong and talented team, currently handling some of the most interesting and challenging matters in the field of commercial litigation, including, in recent years, several law-making cases in the UK Supreme Court.”
Mr Wood said: “I am pleased to have joined this energetic and accomplished team. BTO has a stand-out reputation as a high quality independent Scottish firm, with excellent people and a broad range of expertise.
“I look forward to the challenge of further enhancing the team’s existing service and supporting BTO’s clients across a number of sectors in the UK and globally.”
