BTO appoints four new partners
BTO has announced its latest round of promotions, including four new partners, with effect from 1 December 2023.
This news closely follows the addition of new Edinburgh based partners Tim Edward and Euan Fleming in November.
Lindsay MacNeill is an experienced member of the regulatory team. Her commercial acumen and experience as a procurator fiscal is valued both by her clients and colleagues in BTO’s regulatory & criminal defence team, recently awarded Crime Firm of the Year by The Legal 500.
Bruce Battersby will be heading up the firm’s wills, estates and succession planning practice in Helensburgh.
Kirsty McGuinness is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in family law and as a family law mediator. She has practised exclusively in family law for over 16 years, gaining expertise in all areas of family law, including high net worth cases and complex wealth protection agreements.
Jill Harris, of the firm’s professional discipline and clinical defence team, is described as a ‘Rising Star’ by The Legal 500 for her work in defending clinicians in cases for all three of the UK’s main medical defence organisations.
David Gibson, BTO’s chairman, said: “These well-deserved internal promotions, across a range of disciplines, illustrate the breadth of expertise within our firm and the steady growth in each area, all part of the firm’s ongoing development and encouragement, both of our internal team and the external talent we welcome.
“It always gives deep pleasure to see individuals within the firm develop their potential and we congratulate them all.”
