Burness Paull partner wins big at cHeRries awards
A Burness Paull partner has won a top award recognising the best of the North East of Scotland’s human resources professionals.
Sean Saluja, head of employment at Burness Paull, was presented with the award for outstanding contribution at the annual cHeRries awards last night.
With more than 20 years’ experience and recognised by Chambers UK as a leading individual, Mr Saluja received the Top Cherry for outstanding contribution, sponsored by Mattioli Woods. He paid tribute to the HR sector in the North East and how it has remained resilient, opportunistic and incredibly positive throughout a particularly difficult period, as a result of the oil and gas sector downturn and political uncertainty.
At the forefront of complex and sensitive discussions with trade unions and TUPE, Mr Saluja also credited his team at Burness Paull as playing a vital role in contributing to the award and recognition.
Commenting on the award, he said: “I’m honoured and incredibly humbled to receive this award. I must thank our clients who trust us to work them through complex and sensitive situations, and of course the incredible work of our entire nationally recognised employment team at Burness Paull.”
More than 440 people attended the ceremony in Aberdeen, which was organised by DC Thomson.
