Help sought for study on image-based abuse in Scotland

A doctoral student investigating the experiences of image-based abuse of adults in Scotland is looking for help from solicitors.

Image-based abuse is the creation or sharing of intimate images, or the threat of sharing them, without consent.

Julia Zauner, of Glasgow Caledonian University, said: “To help guide policy and practice, it is crucial to pay attention to those who have first-hand experience and centre the Scottish experience due to Scotland’s unique culture and legal landscape. Participation is voluntary, confidential, and anonymous.

“If any solicitor has been involved in abusive behaviour and/or voyeurism cases, it would be highly appreciated if the details of the study could be passed on to clients.”

More information can be found on the study’s website and lawyers can contact Julia on: juliaresearch@gcu.ac.uk
