Cancer research fundraiser returns to Edinburgh this month with endless champagne party!
Cancer Research Racquet – the international group of US, UK & EU legal professionals who raise money for cancer research – has announced it is returning to Edinburgh on Friday 26 May, for its third annual fundraiser event in Scotland. This year, the event will raise funds jointly for Cancer Research Racquet and local charity, Marie Curie Cancer Care.
From 2005 to 2017, the Cancer Research Racquet group has grown from 50 to nearly 12,000 and the number of events has increased from one in Las Vegas to nearly 20 across the US, UK and EU, with new events held in Scotland, South Africa and Croatia during the course of 2015-2016.
In 2015, Cancer Research Racquet launched in Scotland with a champagne mixer held in the historic Signet Library. In 2016, it repeated this success with a ceilidh at the Royal College of Surgeons. For 2017, they hope the weather will be on side on Friday 26 May 2017 as they take us outside to the beautiful surrounds of the Edinburgh West End for an evening garden party.
Live music, entertainment, food, a raffle, and of course, endless champagne, will be served up as part of the Cancer Research Racquet Endless Champagne Edinburgh Garden Party.
Tickets are priced at £15 per person and can be purchased here.
