Cancer Research Racquet comes to Edinburgh for its first event in Scotland
Cancer Research Racquet, the international group of US, UK & EU legal and business professionals, who love the game of tennis and raise money for cancer research, are hitting Edinburgh on 19 May for their first event in Scotland.
Edinburgh is the first stop in their six week tour of jurisdictions around Europe raising funds for their latest grant project.
Brainstormed by three local newly qualified solicitors, Emma Johnston, Lauren Hurcombe and Emma Boffey, the afternoon of 19 May 2015 will allow those young lawyers passionate about tennis the opportunity to dust off their racquets and come play with colleagues visiting Edinburgh from across the world as part of Cancer Research Racquet.
Later in the evening, the founder of the movement, Rob Kinas, will speak at its first “Endless Champagne” reception hosted at the Signet Library - donors will be able to hear more about the work of the charity and how lawyers from across Scotland can get involved.
Tickets to this event are free in return for a £15 donation to Cancer Racquet Research.
Tickets include endless champagne, the chance to participate in a charity raffle and the opportunity to hear from Rob Kinas on his work with lawyers from around the world, coming together to raise funds for cancer research.
Tickets are available here.
