Caroline Colliston becomes DWF’s executive partner for Scotland
DWF has appointed Caroline Colliston as executive partner for Scotland.
Ms Colliston is a partner and chartered tax advisor based in DWF’s Edinburgh office, with significant management experience in leading the DWF tax practice in Scotland, providing commercial tax advice and share schemes advice to a broad range of businesses, public bodies and individuals.
She takes up this role following the reorganisation of DWF’s global operating structure. By combining the previous executive partner roles for Glasgow and Edinburgh, it will provide greater emphasis on the combined successes of the two offices in Scotland.
Ms Colliston will work closely with the outgoing executive partners Wayne Lawrence and Paul Pignatelli, who will continue with their existing responsibilities across DWF’s global practice areas.
She is also DWF’s gender co-lead, an active member of DWF’s diversity & inclusion leadership group and a strong advocate for diversity & inclusion and social mobility in the law. A well-known figure in the Scottish business community, she sits on the advisory board of Business in the Community Scotland; she is the Scottish government’s appointed chair of the Business Leadership Group of the Scottish Business Pledge and sits on the Women in Tax Scotland committee as well as tax committees for the Law Society of Scotland, ICAS and CIOT.
She said: “We have a very talented team providing exceptional advice to clients across our two Scottish offices. It is a great privilege to be asked to take up this new role as executive partner for DWF in Scotland. Working as one team, we can really maximise our abilities and the unique selling points we have to offer in Scotland as a growing and dynamic business.”
