Carolyn Morgan joins Weightmans in Glasgow
Weightmans has welcomed a new partner to its litigation team in Glasgow.
Carolyn Morgan, formerly of Harper Macleod, specialises in litigation work and covers a wide range of commercial and contractual disputes with a particular focus on contested executory estate and real estate litigation. As well as being a qualified mediator, she is dual-qualified in Scotland, England and Wales, so will bolster the firm’s service offering in Scotland and firm wide.
She is also the honorary legal adviser to the Board of Commonwealth Games Scotland, as well as a mentor on the R&A Women in Golf Leadership Programme and chairperson of the Conduct in Sport Panel for Scottish Gymnastics.
Claire McCracken, partner and head of the Glasgow office, said: “I am delighted to have secured Carolyn. She joins us at a time of growth for the Glasgow office and it demonstrates our commitment to our clients to provide a full service offering to them. Carolyn’s arrival also comes ahead of our imminent office move – further evidence of our intention to grow our presence here in Scotland.”
Ms Morgan said: “I am excited to join Weightmans and look forward to the opportunity to promote the firm, to establish a presence in the Scottish litigation market, and further develop the litigation offering in Scotland. Weightmans is a firm that puts its clients’ needs first, and the obvious passion and commitment of the people who work here was a huge draw for me to join.”
