Clare Bone and Malcolm Gunnyeon join Brodies
Brodies LLP has appointed leading litigators Clare Bone and Malcolm Gunnyeon.
Based in Glasgow, Ms Bone is a top-ranked health and safety and corporate crime lawyer with more than 20 years’ specialist experience. Awarded Hall of Fame status by Legal 500 for continued excellence in the field of health and safety, she is frequently called upon by businesses across all sectors, facing investigation by the Health and Safety Executive, other regulatory bodies and the police.
She is also frequently engaged by insurers who seek her expertise in representing their insured. A qualified criminal solicitor advocate, Ms Bone conducts her own advocacy in the majority of her cases that lead to prosecution or fatal accident inquiries. She joins Brodies from BTO.
Mr Gunnyeon is a well-known and respected litigation lawyer in Aberdeen. He joins Brodies from Dentons and brings with him a combination of commercial litigation and contentious health and safety expertise. With more than 20 years’ experience, he is sought after by clients across a range of sectors including energy and transport, to advise on commercial disputes and incidents that might lead to reputational, criminal, or civil liability.
Brodies managing partner, Nick Scott, said: “Risk – reputational and regulatory - remains near the top of the agenda for all boardrooms and has the potential to impact all businesses. With the appointments of Clare and Malcolm, our clients will benefit from their extensive experience.
“They join our existing experts in the fields of corporate crime, risk, fraud, regulation and health and safety, bringing together a specialist team of top-ranked and leading lawyers covering all key locations in Scotland. We look forward to their contribution.”
