CMS announces new partners in Glasgow and Aberdeen
CMS has announced partner promotions within its Glasgow and Aberdeen offices.
The newly promoted partners include Glasgow-based Fiona Letham, head of the CMS legal services unit (LSU), a key component of the firm’s alternative resourcing offering which features over 100 paralegals.
With over 20 years’ experience and dually qualified in Scots and English law, Ms Letham practised Scottish real estate law before moving into leadership of the LSU.
Craig Wilson, from CMS Aberdeen’s corporate department has also been elevated to the role of partner. A member of the firm’s energy & climate change sector group, he qualified in 2011 and joined CMS six years ago where he has specialised in energy work including a wide range of corporate M&A renewable deals across wind, solar and battery storage.
The Scottish promotions are among 54 new partners announced today by CMS across 24 cities in 17 countries around the world, reflecting the firm’s international strength and depth. Women account for 41 per cent of this year’s global promotions.
Today’s announcement follows another year of investment in people by the firm including the on-going development of its dynamic hybrid working environment, top-quality mentoring programmes and a technology-led work allocation system.
Allan Wernham, managing director of CMS Scotland, said: “I’m delighted to announce these highly-merited promotions today. Fiona and Craig are two examples of the high quality colleagues we have among our ranks in Scotland. Both are effective operators in their field and have demonstrated a real commitment to clients and colleagues alike.
“I look forward to watching them progress in their new roles as we continue to invest in the development of our people across in Scotland.”
