CMS Scotland promotes Brussels-based Siobhan Kahmann to partner
CMS has announced the promotion of Siobhan Kahmann to partner level.
The Brussels-based competition and regulatory law specialist, who works across the Scottish marketplace, is among several new global partner promotions announced by the firm this year.
A University of Aberdeen graduate, Ms Kahmann has worked with a number of legal firms in Brussels since 2009 developing her expertise in EU law. She joined CMS three years ago where she advises its Scottish client base on a range of competition and regulatory law matters as well as key emerging issues including new, post-Brexit subsidy regimes.
She is also an active member of the Law Society of Scotland where she has been elected as its international council member for the past six years. She also serves on the society’s Technology, Trade, and Competition Committees.
Allan Wernham, managing director of CMS Scotland, said: “I congratulate Siobhan on her well-deserved promotion. Her expertise in competition law, regulatory law and wider aspects of EU legislation delivers tremendous value to many of our Scottish clients, and further strengthens our offering as a locally-focused international law firm.”
Ms Kahmann said: “I’m delighted and excited to be making the move to partner level and would like to acknowledge the support of all my colleagues on our antitrust, competition and trade team. We look forward to providing our continued specialist legal support to the firm’s growing client base in Scotland.”
