CMS shows support for Glasgow Pride
CMS showed its support for Scotland’s biggest LGBT festival, held in Glasgow over the weekend.
The firm, an official sponsor of the event, welcomed colleagues, friends and family members to a brunch at its Glasgow office at 1 Regent Street as part of the two-day festival celebrating diversity in Scotland’s largest city. The attendees then joined in the 2017 PRIDE parade, where around 5,000 participants were cheered on by an estimated crowd of 50,000 people as it made its way through the streets of Glasgow city centre.
With a strong commitment to LGBT equality, CMS is currently ranked 31st in the UK in the Stonewall Index 2017 for pro-diversity employers, up 49 places from the previous year. The firm’s LGBT* Network is also ranked as a “highly commended network group”.
Caryn Penley, CMS’s managing partner for Scotland, said: “As a firm with a strong track record in diversity and one that fully supports LGBT equality, we are a proud supporter of Glasgow PRIDE.
“CMS has an established track record in promoting diversity and equal opportunities which goes beyond current employment law and harnesses the full potential of our people. Our LGBT* network is actively involved in consulting and putting together policies to support colleagues from this community across our firm.”
