CMS to stage online ‘Future of Our High Streets’ event
CMS will stage a free online event with leading retail and commercial figures addressing some of the key challenges facing the high street during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Future of our High Streets is a free virtual event that will take place from 08:45 am on Thursday 17 September. You can find more information and sign up for the event here.
The event will focus on the next generation of UK high streets and cover how innovators, retailers, and policymakers are tackling the challenges facing towns and cities.
The session will include a keynote presentation by Vivienne King, chief executive of retail property and place-making specialist Revo.
Among the specialist contributions are: Katie Nagy de Nagybaczon, partner at CMS; Jackie Milligan, founder of ShopAppy; Sophie Shannon, associate director of NewRiver Retail; and Alan Anthony, founder of Threesixty Architecture.
Allan Wernham, managing director of CMS Scotland, said: “The UK’s high streets were already facing significant challenges before COVID-19. These challenges have now become even more pronounced, accelerating the need for creative change.
“Our Future of High Streets event will focus on how to maximise opportunities for diversification and regeneration.”
