Compass Chambers: Fixed rate fee for monday motions in the All-Scotland Personal Injury Court

From 1st August, every Monday a member of Compass Chambers will be available to accept instructions for motions at the fixed rate of £80 + VAT.

Members are happy to appear for motions without an instructing solicitor being present. This will allow the instructing agent to remain in the office avoiding the need to spend valuable time attending Court and the risk of wasting time waiting for any motion to be dealt with.

Instructions will be accepted up to 4pm on the preceding Friday. Any instructions received after this time will be considered on an individual basis although we cannot commit to accepting such instructions on the same fixed rate basis.

Compass Chambers practice manager Gavin Herd said: “We are happy to offer this fixed rate for motions in the ASPIC. Not only will this save solicitors valuable time by not having to appear themselves, they can be confident that the motion will be well presented by Counsel as well as having certainty of what they will be charged.”
