Core Celebrates 20 Years

On 22 January 2021, mediation business Core celebrates the 20th anniversary of its very first event: Communicate to Persuade, which took place in the Royal Society of Edinburgh.
Core Founder John Sturrock QC delivered the training day with his good friend and colleague at the bar, the late Mike Jones QC (Lord Jones).
To celebrate this anniversary, Core is hosting an online event on the evening of Thursday 21 January 2021 at 7pm entitled “Core@20 in ‘21” in which John Sturrock will be in the “hot seat” in a conversation with leading mediator and good friend of Core, Liz Rivers.
They will discuss the many chapters in the Core story and mediation’s journey over the past 20 years - and ask where are we headed?
The winning entry will also be announced in The Core Challenge competition for young professionals on the theme:
“What one change would make a real difference and increase the use of mediation in civil and commercial cases in Scotland?”.
The winning entry will receive The Core@20 Prize of £750 or, if the author prefers, a heavily discounted place on Core’s next mediation training course.
