Correction: Mr Peter Watson

Mr Watson’s suspension was in respect of a court action by a liquidator for payment against a firm of solicitors of whom Mr Watson is a former partner, not in respect of a hedge fund probe.

Further, we would wish to make clear that Mr Watson is not one of the four individuals under investigation over the activities of a hedge fund.

That investigation has been ongoing now for several years and at no stage has anyone in the police or Crown Office suggested that Mr Watson was implicated.

We are pleased to clarify this matter and apologise for any inconvenience caused.
