A prize highlighting innovative practices aimed at improving the efficiency and quality of judicial systems will be awarded in Edinburgh this month.
The European “Crystal Scales of Justice Prize” will be conferred by a jury composed of justice professionals to one of four projects shortlisted from 37 applications.
The four initiatives are:
Court Pulse - The Management Revolution, by the Judicial-Legal Council and Institute of Law and Philosophy/Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan; Educational Programme “Judiciary: informed choice and public confidence. Open Courts and Prosecutors’ Offices”, by the Supreme Judicial Council of the Republic of Bulgaria; Migrants – Courts of Catania and discharging appeals against the action taken by the Territorial Commissions for International Protection, by the Court of Catania, Italy; Witness Service in Norwegian courts, by the Norwegian Courts Administration. The ceremony will take place on October 27 in Parliament House.
