Counsel makes it on to list of inspiring women
The Faculty of Advocates’ Nicola Gilchrist has been featured in a magazine list of “remarkable women” for her work with Scottish Women’s Aid (SWA).
Ms Gilchrist, who specialises in family and child law, has been on the board of SWA since 2013 and its vice-chair since 2016. She helped to introduce and develop a national domestic abuse and forced marriage helpline – 0800 027 1234 – which offers support around the clock.
The Scottish Woman Magazine says Ms Gilchrist’s work with SWA is truly inspiring and that she is more than deserving of a spot on a list of women it admires.
“Scotland is full of remarkable women, founding innovative organisations , doing life-changing work and inspiring a new generation of fearless pioneers,” the magazine states.
Others on the list include Lynne McNicoll, co-founder of the charity, It’s Good 2 Give, the broadcaster Kirsty Young, and the Olympic athlete, Eilidh Doyle.
