Davidson Chalmers appoints new chief operating officer

Davidson Chalmers has announced the appointment of Gordon Tainton as its new chief operating officer.

Mr Tainton, who joins the firm from PayWizard PLC, will play a leading role in the development of Davidson Chalmers’ business and financial management strategy.

He is an accountant whose career has included senior financial roles at Sky and RMD Group.

Mr Tainton joined PayWizard in a financial role in 1999 and became chief commercial operations officer in July 2004 and subsequently, managing director of shared services in 2007 responsible for back-office operations, fulfilment and professional services.

Andrew Chalmers, managing partner at Davidson Chalmers, said: “It’s a great coup to have recruited someone with Gordon’s considerable financial and management expertise.

“He will be able to add another dimension to how we effectively manage and structure our business going forward.
