Davidson Chalmers appoints new employment head
Davidson Chalmers has announced the appointment of Alan Strain as partner and Jenny Davies as a senior solicitor.
Alan Strain, who will head up Davidson Chalmers’ employment team, is currently a partner and head of employment with Mullins, in Brisbane, Australia.
He joins the firm on 15th August. As a well-respected employment lawyer and solicitor advocate, Mr Strain was previously an employment partner and head of litigation at Biggart Baillie, and latterly headed the employment team at DLA Piper Scotland. He also served as an employment judge with the Employment Tribunal Service in Scotland until January 2014.
Ms Davies joined the firm on 1st August as a senior solicitor in the environmental, waste and renewables department. She is currently with West Lothian Council and has a wide range of expertise and experience in dealing with property related issues both in the public and private sectors. Prior to joining the council, Ms Davies worked with Burges Salmon in Bristol and Burness Paull in Edinburgh.
