Digby Brown promotes internal talent

Digby Brown Solicitors has announced promotions across its Edinburgh, Dundee and Inverness offices.

The promotions see three lawyers made up to associate – David McGowan and Sam Cowie, both members of the firm’s personal injury team in Inverness, and Mark Nicholson, an asbestos injury disease specialist in Edinburgh. Laura Campbell becomes manager of Digby Brown’s First Response Unit (FRU), having previously been supervisor within the same department.

All of the individuals promoted have been with Digby Brown for a substantial part of their careers. Mr McGowan joined the firm in 2010, initially as part of the First Response Unit before undertaking his traineeship and moving to the Inverness operation. Mr Cowie joined Digby Brown in Inverness in 2012, having completed his traineeship with a Highland firm.

Mr Nicholson has been with Digby Brown since starting his traineeship with the firm in 2007. An asbestos injury disease specialist, he represents clients throughout Scotland and undertakes a variety of business development activities in the sector.

Ms Campbell has been at Digby Brown since 2009 and part of its First Response Unit, the initial point of contact and advice for thousands of new Digby Brown clients each year, since 2012. She has been closely involved in FRU’s expansion which has reflected Digby Brown’s growth in recent years.
