Double appointment to Boundaries Scotland
Simon Jones and Alison McNab have been appointed to Boundaries Scotland, the public body responsible for reviewing electoral boundaries.
Mr Jones, who has been appointed as deputy chair, works on substance use strategy within Clackmannanshire and Stirling Health and Social Care Partnership and has a professional background in mental health and education in community and prison settings.
He is working towards a PhD in law and politics at Cardiff University, focussed on health politics in devolved contexts.
Ms McNab, who has been appointed as a commissioner, is a solicitor who previously worked in policy and law reform at the Law Society of Scotland.
She graduated from Aberdeen and Edinburgh Universities with an honours degree in law and a post graduate diploma in professional legal practice. She subsequently began practising as a solicitor, primarily in the fields of criminal defence and civil litigation.
Both appointments will be for four years until 31 January 2028.
