Double promotion at Lindsays
Lindsays has promoted Louise Norris and Rachel Holt to the respective roles of partner and associate.
Ms Norris works in the commercial property department, where she was previously a director. Her promotion is the sixth in seven years at Lindsays, which she joined as a solicitor in June 2014.
The Glasgow-born graduate of the University of Dundee previously spent 10 years working in the US, where she specialised in property law, acting on behalf of high net worth individuals, developers and insurance companies.
She said: “I could not be more delighted. This is a great opportunity. The firm is proactive in recognising and rewarding hard work and I look forward to continuing to develop our practice and build on new and existing client relationships in my new role.”
Ms Norris acts for clients across the full spectrum of commercial property, including acquisitions and disposals, leasing, security and dealing with complex title issues.
Miss Holt joined Lindsays as a solicitor in 2018. She has been promoted from senior solicitor to associate in the personal injury team.
As well as heading up the accidents at work team, she specialises in acting for pursuers in claims in a variety of areas, including road traffic accidents, public and occupiers’ liability, medical negligence and industrial disease.
David Armstrong, head of personal injury at Lindsays, said: “Rachel is technically excellent – a people person who instils confidence in her clients. I am sure she will continue on an upward trajectory in her career here.”
Alasdair Cummings, managing partner at Lindsays, said: “We are delighted to welcome Louise and Rachel to their new roles. These promotions are testament to both their personal talent and hard work, as well as our firm’s commitment to recognising and rewarding that by providing opportunities for progression.
“They also demonstrate the strength of the people who are at the forefront of Lindsays’ offer to the people and businesses with whom we work.”
