Duncan and David Hamilton raise funds for Ukrainian children
Duncan Hamilton KC and his brother David, a former chairman of the Scottish Police Federation, are driving a specially adapted vehicle to Ukraine where it will be used to support children traumatised by the ongoing war.
Thousands of children are ‘internally displaced’ in Ukraine and many are traumatised by what they have experienced. The vehicle was donated to Edinburgh Direct Aid but required a significant upgrade to ensure it is passed to the Ukrainian partner charity, ‘Small Wins’, in a condition that allows it to be used as a consulting space in which trauma therapy can most effectively be delivered. The fact this is a mobile resource is critical, allowing help to be delivered where it is most urgently needed.
The trip to Ukraine starts on 12 June and there is an urgent need for financial support to ensure that the costs of making this resource available can be met.

One hundred per cent of donations will go directly to the EDA effort in Ukraine.
