Duncan Love elected president of Society of Advocates in Aberdeen
Duncan Love has been elected as president of the Society of Advocates in Aberdeen.
At the society’s annual general meeting Ken MacDonald, a partner at Brodies, passed the presidency on to Mr Love, who is a partner at James & George Collie. Martin Sinclair of Mackinnons and Neil Smith of Burness Paull meanwhile became vice presidents.
The society’s membership is made up from legal practitioners in Aberdeen and the north east.
Its origins can be traced back to the sixteenth century and it continues to play an important part in the life of the legal profession in the north east of Scotland.
