Dundee law students prepare for Telders International Law Moot Competition
Final year Dundee University law students Asa Jordan, Evana Ferguson, Daniel Breerton and David Durie have been selected to represent Team Scotland in this year’s Telders International Law Moot Court Competition.
The competition, which runs from 23 – 25 May 2019, sees teams from European universities plead a fictitious case before judges from the International Court of Justice. This year’s case, that of the ‘Great Football Match’, focuses on issues concerning the CERD Convention and state responsibility.
The team will participate in a practice round at Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest from 23 – 25 April 2019. Both the friendly round and the Telders competition provide an opportunity for law students with an interest in public international law to hone their skills in front of leading experts.
This year’s team are raising money to assist with accommodation and travel expenses. The team would be extremely grateful for any financial help in meeting the costs of participation. You can donate by contacting telderdundee@gmail.com.
