DWF advises cloud software business on £12m fundraise
International legal business DWF has advised cloud-based software business CloudCall Group plc on its latest £12 million fundraise.
The company secured the funding via conditional placing of shares and additional open offer to existing shareholders to raise a further £500,000.
CloudCall, an AIM-listed business with offices in the UK, USA and Belarus, offers a suite of software products spanning voice, SMS, instant messaging, desktop and mobile, allowing companies to integrate telephony and messaging capabilities into their existing CRM software.
The proceeds of the placing will be used to fund customer-led growth capital opportunities and strengthen the company’s balance sheet. Plans include establishing a new Australian sales office to service the Asia PAC region and launching a partner programme in the USA.
The DWF team included Newcastle-based corporate partner Jeremy Swift and senior associate Jemil Visram, as well as Edinburgh-based solicitor Siobhan Cameron and Glasgow-based solicitor Eilidh Durkin.
Mr Swift said: “We’re proud to support CloudCall once again as they continue to develop and expand their business into new areas. Such is the success of the business, this latest fundraise was oversubscribed despite the challenging economic conditions caused by Brexit uncertainty.”
