DWF hosts Scottish launch of Women in the Law UK
DWF Edinburgh has hosted the Scottish launch of Women in the Law UK in a bid to encourage, inspire and support the next generation of Lawyers.
Women in the Law UK is a women and men’s networking organisation that helps to give a chance for young women at various stages of their careers to talk to senior people about the profession. The aim is to allow junior and senior members to learn from each other, connecting the law and business.
The event played host to various legal businesses, the Faculty of Advocates, in-house counsel, academics and the Law Society of Scotland.
It provided an informal opportunity for attendees to network and listen to inspiring speeches from director at DWF Caroline Colliston, Sally Penni, barrister and founder of Women in the Law UK, Suzanne Tanner QC CIArb, Rachel Roberts, managing partner Stowe Family Law in Leeds.
Ms Colliston said: “I was delighted to support the launch of Women in the Law UK in Scotland. DWF’s position on diversity and inclusion is a key factor in retaining and attracting talent as well as a key talking point in growing and deepening our relationship with our clients and business connections.”
