DWF named a top employer for working families
DWF has been named a top employer by charity Working Families.
The charity benchmarked employers on flexible and family-friendly working policies and practices, and placed DWF in the top 10 alongside American Express, Centrica,Deloitte and the Ministry of Justice.
DWF is the only law firm to make the top 10, for which it credits ongoing investment to implement a number of initiatives to support its staff.
These include enhancing its workstyle policy to encourage agile, flexible, home and mobile working; investing £12 million in technology to provide a flexible working environment; introducing collaborative communication tools such as Yammer and the instant messenger Lync; and running a working families network as part of a partner-led diversity steering group.
The firm has also undertaken research, in association with the Employers Network for Equality and Inclusion, into key personality types suited to agile working to better understand the needs of its workforce.
Tyrone Jones, director of CSR and engagement at DWF said: “We are proud to be the only law firm named in the top 10 for employers for working families. It’s not only fantastic recognition of our progress, but it consolidates our position at the forefront of delivering legal services differently to better support our people and clients.”
