DWF to move into landmark building in Glasgow

DWF has announced its plans to move into 110 Queen Street in 2016. The move supports the strategic aims of the firm and, it said, enhances the working environment for its people.

DWF will relocate from Dalmore House on St Vincent Street to the 143,000 sq ft, BREEAM rated excellent building and has leased the entire fourth floor, joining fellow occupiers Deloitte and Grant Thornton.

Paul Pignatelli, DWF’s executive partner for the Glasgow office, said: “In the past few years, there has been a real buzz around DWF and the move comes at a great time for the business as the market notably steps up a gear.

“It marks the next stage of strategic growth for DWF, as we push our international capability in a controlled way and continue to invest in our growing UK offices. It enables us to move from working across three floors to one open-plan space that will enhance the working environment for our people - encouraging further interaction, collaboration and flexibility.

This announcement follows significant investment in the Scottish team following five lateral hires including head of casualty and general insurance Andrew Lothian from Anderson Strathern; planning partner Moray Thomson from MacRoberts; corporate partner Gary MacDonald from Pinsent Masons; banking partner Chris McLauchlan from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and construction, infrastructure and projects partner Ben Powell from Tods Murray.
