DWF trainees take on cycle challenge
The Glasgow and Edinburgh DWF trainees are raising money for the DWF Foundation by cycling the equivalent distance between the firm’s UK and Irish offices on turbo trainers set up in the offices over 23-27 October. This totals 1,062 miles (discounting 37 miles for the ferry from Cairnryan to Larne!).
With the help of lots of colleagues who kindly donated their time and legs the 1,062 mile mark was surpassed on Thursday but the challenge continues to see if they can make it to the Paris office! Evans Cycles in Glasgow kindly donated the turbo trainers.
The DWF Foundation supports the work of charities across the UK. Its resources are focussed on supporting work addressing education, employability, health and wellbeing and homelessness.
In Glasgow and Edinburgh particularly, the DWF Foundation has had a big impact on local charities. The challenge has so far raised over £500 but the fundraising page remains open for any further kind donations: http://www.sponsorme.co.uk/eilidhdurkin/dwf-scottish-trainee-cycle-challenge.aspx?backgroundColor=ce0058&HideHeader=0
