Edinburgh Student Law Review launches annual edition
The Edinburgh Student Law Review (ESLR) has celebrated the launch of its annual edition.
The 2017 issue features articles written by undergraduate and postgraduate students from the University of Edinburgh and beyond, as well as a short contribution by Professor George Gretton, emeritus Lord President Reid professor of law.
The new edition will shortly be available from the ESLR website and from HeinOnline.
At the launch event, attendees heard speeches from Professor Martin Hogg, head of the Law School at Edinburgh University and from Dr Andrew Steven, Scottish law commissioner and honorary secretary of the ESLR.
The departing editors-in-chief, Alisdair MacPherson and Alasdair Peterson, offered their thanks to all those involved with the ESLR.
It was also announced that Dionysios Pelekis and Andrew Sweeney will take over as the new editors-in-chief.
The ESLR is sponsored by Turcan Connell, Thomson Reuters, BARBRI International, DLA Piper and Freshfields.
First published in 2009, it is the oldest student law journal in Scotland.
