Enterprising students to offer free legal advice to Glasgow shoppers

A student-run law clinic is to offer free legal advice to shoppers in Glasgow from today.

Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) Law Clinic has set up stall in Buchanan Galleries and will be offering free legal advice for the next 10 weeks.

Students will be on hand to offer free advice to people who do not qualify for legal aid or cannot afford professional legal advice. All of their advice will be supervised by a qualified lawyer.

Louise Thomson, of GCU Law Clinic, said: “This represents a truly exciting expansion opportunity for our clinic, and will allow us to directly promote access to justice with the public.”

The clinic will operate every Wednesday from 11am to 4pm until the end of April.
