The Scottish Young Lawyers’ Association said in a statement: “In light of the recent COVID-19 outbreak in Europe and globally, the Scottish Young Lawyers’ Association and the EYBA board, after careful consideration and with a very heavy heart, must announce the cancellation of the EYBA Spring Conference 2020 in Glasgow.

“This was not an easy decision to make as a lot of work has gone in to making this an unforgettable event. However, we must act in the interests of our members and attendees and the risk is not one we consider worth taking.

“We are in discussions with our sponsors, speakers and venues to identify a suitable alternative date, likely early 2021. We will be contacting everyone who has bought a ticket over the next 24 hours to make the necessary arrangements.”
