Event: James Chalmers to speak on overturning of Smith v Lees

The SSC Society and the Scottish Young Lawyers’ Association will be hosting an event on a recent major criminal judgment.
A Spotlight on the Lord Advocate’s Reference No 1 of 2023 will feature Professor James Chalmers at the SSC Society, Parliament House, Edinburgh on 8 February 2024 at 6pm.
Professor Chalmers is recognised by practitioners and students alike as an expert in this area and many will be familiar with his published works. He was appointed to the regius chair of law at the University of Glasgow in 2012. He is also the director of research for the School of Law.
