Event: Role of sheriffs principal
An event explaining the role of a sheriff principal is set to take place next month.
The virtual event, hosted via Webex by Sheriff Principal Aisha Anwar, will take place on 16 August, at 5.15pm.
The information session will provide an insight into the working life of a Sheriff Principal and demystify what the role involves.
The Judicial Appointments Board for Scotland (JABS) application process will also be discussed.
The Lord President, Lord Carloway, will take part in the event alongside other panel members Lindsay Montgomery, Lay Chairing Member of the JABS and Deirdre Fulton, Lay Member of the JABS.
Those who wish to attend should email the Judicial Office for Scotland at judicialofficeforscotland@scotcourts.gov.uk with their full name and preferred email address to register.
A link to the event will be sent to those registered by 3pm on 12 August 2022.
There will be an opportunity to ask questions of the panel and these can be emailed in advance to the email address above. Please indicate if you wish your question to be anonymous.
