Fergus Thomson joins Terra Firma Chambers
Mr Thomson originally called to the bar in 2004 and returns following a number of years in private practice.
He is an experienced commercial lawyer, with particular expertise in banking, finance and insolvency work.
He has over 5 years’ experience as junior counsel, focusing on commercial litigation and contentious corporate, insolvency, property and professional negligence matters.
He has a long-standing interest in tax, pensions and trust law and in regulatory risk.
His prior experience at the bar, in private practice and in-house has cemented his customer-focused, result-driven approach.
He understands the commercial pressures facing both clients and those instructing counsel, and the vital importance of reliability, diligence and clear, timely communication.
