First session of SYLA Ethics Conference a great success
The first session of the Scottish Young Lawyers’ Association (SYLA) Ethics Conference was a success with over 130 people in attendance.
Laila Kennedy, SYLA treasurer and trainee solicitor at Ledingham Chalmers LLP, said: “Members heard from three fantastic speakers – Stephen McLaren of Ledingham Chalmers LLP, Iain Sim of the University of Strathclyde, and Susan Williams of the Scottish Legal Complaints Commission.
“Feedback from the event has been outstanding with members finding the session engaging, whilst providing a useful mechanism of the standards we all must work towards as legal professionals, assessing situations in terms of risk management, and practical tips.
“We are grateful to the Clark Foundation for their assistance and sponsorship of our Conference. After the success of this first session, we are very excited for the next two sessions in the coming weeks!”
There are limited places remaining for session two and three of the conference.
