Former Solicitor General to become GCU lay governor
Former Solicitor General Lesley Thomson is to take up the role of lay governor at Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) along with three others.
Dr Thomson was Solicitor General between 2011 and 2016, the second woman to occupy the post.
She said: “I believe that everyone has the right to education and, as my mother used to say, learning is for life; it’s education that opens doors and to play a role in driving this forward and protecting education will be an honour.”
