Frances McMenamin QC’s SCCRC appointment extended
The senior woman at the Scottish bar, Frances McMenamin QC, is to continue her long association with the Scottish Criminal Cases Review Commission for at least another six months.
Justice Secretary Humza Yousaf has announced that Ms McMenamin’s appointment – she first became a board member of the SCCRC in 2010 – will be extended until 31 March, 2019, with effect from 1 October, 2018.
Ms McMenamin joined the Faculty of Advocates in 1985, and was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1998.
