Further praise for Arnot Manderson in Chambers and Partners rankings
Arnot Manderson Advocates is delighted to report the remarkable achievement of thirty-three individual Rankings (including fifteen in Band 1) across twelve wide-ranging practice areas in the recently announced Chambers and Partners listings.
As well as the haul of individual rankings Arnot Manderson has achieved stable wide recognition in Tax (Band 1), Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence and for the first time in Family/Matrimonial. Another highly impressive showing which follows similarly impressive results in the recent Legal 500 ranking.
Andrew Young QC again leads the way with a highly impressive five individual rankings in the fields of Clinical Negligence, Commercial Dispute Resolution, Tax, Personal Injury and Professional Negligence. Other seniors with multiple rankings include Jonathan Mitchell QC in Administrative & Public Law, Civil Liberties & Human Rights and Family/Matrimonial and Iain Mitchell QC in Public Procurement, Intellectual Property and IT.
The stable continues to collect Rankings in a varied set of practice areas and typifying this across the board strength are the seven stable members with rankings in multiple fields. Besides the aforementioned seniors they are Gerry Hanretty QC, Laurence Murphy QC and juniors Arabella Tait and Neil Mackenzie.
In the Family/Matrimonial field the stable continues to go from strength to strength and once again boasts two Band 1 Silks, Kate Dowdalls QC and Jonathan Mitchell QC who are joined in the rankings by experienced juniors Marie Clark, Nicola Gilchrist and Ceit-Anna MacLeod.
At the junior end there is Band 1 recognition for David Turner in Real Estate Litigation, Neil Mackenzie and Gordon Balfour in PI, David Small in Tax and Duncan Hamilton in Media Law.
Laura Thomson is rewarded with an Up and Coming ranking in the PI category where it was noted “She demonstrates experience handling fatal and catastrophic injury claims, as well as those involving harassment, sexual abuse and industrial disease”. She was noted as “Clever, hard-working, courteous and very determined.”
There was also high praise for the experienced clerking team about whom it was noted “The clerks are really helpful and really easy to work with. They were extremely conscientious and accommodating.” The directory also praised the team for being “friendly, helpful and readily available at the end of the phone when assistance is required. They’re very good at putting me in touch with the appropriate counsel.”
