Gavin MacColl QC appointed to Scottish Rugby Council post

The Faculty of Advocates’ Gavin MacColl QC, has been appointed independent chair of the Scottish Rugby Council standing committee on governance.

Mr MacColl, who called in 2000 and took silk last year, is one of the bar’s specialists in commercial law.

Since calling at the bar, Mr MacColl has appeared before the House of Lords, Court of Session, the Scottish Land Court, the Lands Tribunal for Scotland and the Lands Valuation Appeals Court.

Contractual disputes are the mainstay of his practice, but he also handles shareholder cases and corporate insolvency.
