GCU Law Society take moot final to the Court of Session
The Glasgow Caledonian University Law Society Moot Final was held last week in the Court of Session, before Lord Malcolm.
Sixteen students and staff members travelled to Edinburgh for the final.
The 2015 finalists were Gary Reid appearing with Bruce McQuillan (both LLB), and Margaux Mure-Ravaud appearing with Rose Clayton (both international exchange students).
In the end Mr Reid and Mr McQuillan were victorious.
GCU Law Society was particularly grateful to Lord Malcolm, honorary president of the society, for his continued support, and to the lord president for allowing the 2015 final to be held in courtroom 2 of Parliament House.
The moot final question was written by James P Connolly and concerned the formation of a commercial contract, personal bar, and the proper construction of a clause as suspensive of obligations.
